Why Autumn in New York?

At the tail end of 2017, I sat down to reflect on my blogging career and where I wanted to go next. Since launching Jukebox Mixtape five years ago, I've grown both as an individual and a professional, with new interests and talents that I've been itching to share. 

There's also been one other really big change--the fact that I moved to New York. That alone has shaped so much of who I am today and it was becoming increasingly harder to ignore. 

So, as I took stock of what I had accomplished and what my goals were, the realization hit me that I had to say goodbye to Jukebox. It wasn't that I didn't love it, it's that we no longer fit each other, not in a sustainable way.

I needed to create something that was distinctly me. A place where I didn't have to fret over sharing the content I wanted to. One in which I didn't feel bad about alienating the beautiful country music community I have come to know. But most importantly, a place that can grow with me. 

Welcome to Autumn in New York.  This blog is a visual and written representation of who I am. I want to share all the little and big little ways that New York has inspired me to live my life in a way that is fulfilling and passionate. In a way that speaks to people from all walks of life with many different backgrounds. Whether it's chasing after your dreams, going out on the town, or listening to some new music; I want to bring my love for adventure to a community that will encourage and inspire each other.

My hope, above all else, is to inspire you to find (or continue to live) your own uniquely unapologetic life. A life in which all your dreams continue to come true.
